Munich

The heart of Bavaria.

Probably one of the most special places in Germany according to the history. Here the wind from the Alps is going to wash your pain away, because the atmosphere in the city is holy like. No wonder, because anywhere you step is a holy land, where monks of the past were praying. Magnificent Marienplatz, a famous spot for all the tourists and a meeting point for locals. From there you can head to Maximilianstrasse and enjoy luxury shopping or walk towards the Isar river to have a walk around. It is extremely beautiful, especially in summer.

The weather in Munich is quite good, so in summer the temperature can go quite high, however the city style will still require you to dress accordingly. Munich is quite small itself, but full of wonderful places. Make sure you go to the English Garden and visit the Nymphenburg Palace. To have a bigger picture, you have to visit one of the rooftop terraces to have a city view you will enjoy, while sipping you Aperol Spritz.  Out of those we pointed out is the China Moon Roof Terrace, Hotel Bayerischer Hof and their Blue Spa terrace, Emiko hotel, Café Glockenspiel, Rooftop Terrace The Grill and Oberpollinger. All of those are quite central, so free some time to have a pause enjoying the city views.

When you feel like having enough of the city tour, feel free to try Bavarian food and go to the Munich best restaurants, including Bogenhauser Hof, Gasthaus Glockenbach, Welser Kuche, Zum Alten Markt, Käfer Schänke and Weisses Brauhaus. Feel free to choose from a traditional menu of fabulous Bavarian and German meats and sausages as well as from a good beer selection. The food in Germany is excellent quality, so prepare your tummies for a food festival.

If you happened to be in Munich in October, no need to say you should go to Oktoberfest and try the tastiest Bavarian beer straight from Brauerei.
