There are so many wonderful holiday destinations in Europe and so many places we have to discover. This year’s favourite became Greece, but not the typical Santorini everyone goes to. We have tried something new and are willing to share with you an adventure on the Greek Islands located in the Ionian Sea.
Kefalonia is located in the west of mainland. Argostoli is the capital of this beautiful islands and has a lot to offer, whether you want a small city tour or a beautiful view on the mountains and the sea. Kefalonia is very beautiful, and very pure in its nature and landscapes. Be prepared, goats and cats are everywhere!
The best for you would be to stay around the capital, because this way you are sure you have access to the restaurants and bars, otherwise that might be complicated. Our suggestion is to rent a car as well, because you would totally want to go around the island and see the beautiful nature. The most amazing experience is when you drive to Myrtos beach. This beach enters in Top 10 in Europe and it is a fair point. The colour of the water is incredible and white stones add contrast to it. Once you have been there you will never be able to get this image out of your head, it looks like paradise.
Another wonderful place would be Antisamos beach, where everything is green. It is located between the mountains, quite a beautiful place. Landscape is totally different to Myrtos beach and the water is more green. The beach is serviced, so you can have excellent food and also just 5 min. away from the sunbathing area you can find a water sports desk, where you can book any type of activity. A good way to spend a day!
Vacation on the island is something different, because it is not that full of tourists yet, so you do not find much entertainment. Nevertheless, it is a perfect place to relax your mind.
