Since a few years Tel Aviv became a hub for young travelers. It definitely became one of the most popular destinations for people looking for a new adventure. Tel Aviv certainly is a wonderful city that surprises you with its combination of new modern buildings and old town full of history and originality. Another great plus is that it is located on the mediterranean coast, so you can enjoy the beach and the views 24/7. It creates an absolutely amazing atmosphere, because you see people enjoying outdoors activities, being more relaxed and happy. The shoreline is very long and equally beautiful in different parts. You can enjoy the variety of beach bars that offer excellent mediterranean and local Israeli food, good drinks and music. Do not hesitate to dedicate one of your days to just chilling on the beach and getting that happy vibe.
Isn’t it pretty awesome that you can enjoy the beach and at the same time be in the city, where the fast paced life never stops?! If you head into town, you find a lot of companies and start-ups running their day to day business, but after work people are getting out and spend their time outside, dining and just enjoying life. The food is extremely delicious and a real paradise for all the vegans and vegetarians out there. You can literally live on humus, falafel and all kinds of appetizers all day everyday. It is simply delicious and no, you won’t get enough! If you want some fine dining and going out scene, the best you can do is go to Rothschild Blvd and check those bars and clubs. Try out Jimmy Who for some drinks and good music or Speak Easy Bar that is just above. Pretty much any place on this street is cool and sends out positive vibes. The music is really modern as if they just collected the best hits.
Apart of very good nightlife and entertainment that Tel Aviv is famous for, there are also a lot of historical places you should visit. Head to the old town and to Jaffa, which is the port area. It does have a very different atmosphere, you see more of local people, little markets with Israeli handcraft and small traditional food shops. Also do not hesitate to have some seafood in the port area. It is pretty delicious!
Israel is a beautiful country and if you happen to be visiting Tel Aviv, make sure you also get a chance to visit Jerusalem and perhaps get a trip to the Dead Sea. Jerusalem is very different and more conservative compared to Tel Aviv. Not to mention that it is a popular destination for religious people because of the Western Wall. It is also a must visit despite your religion or beliefs. This unique place attracts millions of tourists every year from all countries in the world.
From Jerusalem to Dead Sea is just 1.5 hours drive and if we would be on your place, we would definitely go! It is Earth’s lowest elevation on land and Dead Sea itself is unique in its nature. Head to Ein Bokek Beach if you want to enjoy the public beach and the landscape. It is absolutely stunning, but keep in mind it is very hot and the water is so salty that you should not stay in for more than 10 minutes per session. You can also treat yourself and buy some mud in the shop nearby. Give yourself a little SPA treatment while being there, your skin will thank you later! A day trip to Dead Sea is more than enough to enjoy it. You can either use a bus to get there or rent a car and drive around. Sunsets are really beautiful!
Whether you are going for a long weekend to Israel or a proper holiday, you will enjoy it to the fullest and be amazed how welcomed it makes you feel!
